We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Wrinch Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities

Work within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Practice.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions for Emergency Department patients.

Coordinate health services, participate in discharge and/or care planning, and act as a patient advocate.

Educate patients and families about illness, injury, and overall health promotion and wellness.

Establish, maintain, and enhance therapeutic relationships based on respect.

Provide care to patients across the lifespan within a team‑based model, initiating and following established plans of care.

Recognize and respond to unexpected patient outcomes by communicating and collaborating with other members of the healthcare team.

Document care provided and responses to incidents in accordance with established policies and Emergency Department expectations.

Consult, confer, and collaborate with other health care providers as needed.

Shift Rotation / Hours of Work
Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)

Wrinch Memorial Hospital is a teaching hospital with an ongoing rotation of medical students, nurse practitioner students, and medical residents. It serves a population of 8,000 and offers the following services:

Nine complex care beds





One respite bed

Thirteen acute care beds

Dental clinic

Laboratory

Wrinch Medical Clinic

One secure psychiatric observation room

Medical imaging, including ultrasound

Retail pharmacy on‑site

The Hazeltons
The communities that make up what is collectively known as the Upper Skeena are situated on the unceded traditional territory of the Gitxsan Nation.
