Pharmacy Assistant (Casual - All Locations)
Salary: CAD $29.82 per hour.

Positions available across the Greater Vancouver area, Squamish/Whistler, and the Sunshine Coast—Sechelt/Powell River areas.

Responsibilities

Assist with dispensing prescription orders.

Count, measure, and fill medication containers or unit dose packages; compound lotions, ointments, and creams for inspection.

Pre‑package oral, liquid, topical, and mini‑bag with integrated vial assembly medications into unit‑of‑use format; maintain related records.

Deliver ward supplies and other stock requirements; maintain inventory and wardstock levels; fill wardstock and narcotic requisitions.

Identify beyond‑use‑dated drugs for return or destruction; check stock for expiry dates.

Maintain department work areas following established procedures and standards.

Perform clerical duties such as typing, answering the phone, filing, and maintaining records of drug and medication use and costs.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized Pharmacy Assistant course.

One (1) year recent related experience,



or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work effectively with others.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Typing proficiency.

Organizational skills.

Ability to operate related equipment.
