Halifax C&D; Recycling, part of the Municipal Group of Companies, is currently seeking a bright, individual for the permanent, full-time position as a Customer Service Representationt to join our operations within our Scale House, based out of Goodwood, NS.

Job Summary
The Customer Service Representation will work out of the Scale House and is responsible for greeting all incoming truck drivers at the scale house and weighing the trucks on the scale in a protected and efficient manner.

The hours of operation for this position are Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, and every second Saturday from 8am-3pm.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Welcome customers and commercial drivers as they arrive at the facility.

Operate our computerized truck scale system to accurately record inbound and outbound vehicle weights.

Collect customer and load information while ensuring all records are accurate and complete.

Guide customers to the appropriate unloading area based on the material they are bringing to the site.

Process payments using cash, debit, credit, and customer accounts.

Generate invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.

Maintain accurate electronic records and complete daily administrative tasks.





Communicate with equipment operators and other team members to help maintain safe and efficient traffic flow throughout the facility.

Open and secure the scale house and site gates as required.

Help maintain a welcoming, professional, and safe environment for customers and coworkers.

Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Confidence using computers and learning new software.

The ability to multitask in a busy environment while remaining organized.

Experience handling payments or cash transactions is considered an asset.

A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.

The ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
