About you
You are an emerging leader with an outgoing personality and have a passion for hospitality that you are able to share with guests and team members alike. You recognize that amazing guest experiences are achieved through supporting your team and partnering closely with the back of house.

About the role
The right fit for this role is someone who has supervisory experience in the front of the house of a busy restaurant that has 10+ seats.



You have experience in providing positive and inspiring leadership, giving support where needed, and contributing to an awesome restaurant atmosphere and positive workplace culture.

You will be
People

Supporting the Restaurant Operator in providing leadership to the Front of House team

Championing an inclusive and positive workplace culture through values‑based leadership, role‑modeling the behaviors you expect in others, and identifying barriers in an effort to remove them

Maintaining strong and positive communication with team members

Being involved in the training of team members and offering continued growth opportunities for improvement

Ensuring team members are following appropriate policy and procedure and upholding positive workplace values

Operations

Developing a strong understanding of Tacofino, including its history, menu, and values, and sharing it with your team

Providing support in onboarding, ongoing training and development, and increasing product knowledge within the team

Partnering with your team in increasing sales through high levels of hospitality, drink and food, developing relationships with regulars, and brainstorming ideas





Supporting location objectives and holding a strong sense of self‑accountability in completing work tasks

Looking for opportunities for community initiatives by partnering with local non‑profits

Work toward efficiency and managing location costs, including food, beverage, and labor

Providing support with administrative tasks

Other duties as required

You have

1 year experience of providing supervision and direction within a fast paced restaurant environment

Passion in creating great guest experiences in both food and hospitality

Providing support in onboarding, ongoing training and development, and increasing product knowledge within the team

Experience in providing feedback, training, and support to team members

Experience in positive and clear communication and encouraging feedback and questions from your team

Experience in working with diverse teams in an effort to support workplace inclusion (Values diversity, equity and inclusion by learning and adapting to individual learning and communication needs, alignment to goals, and contributing to a positive workplace experience)

A demonstrated passion for soulful food, people, and being a part of the restaurant industry

Eager to learn more about food coast and inventory management (Eagerness to gradually take on more responsibility and for continued growth)

Experience with an inventory management system ie optimum control or Market Man

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize

Ability to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays
