Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate and detail-driven Recertification Technician , whose primary responsibilities are refurbishing and recertifying mining attachments and equipment. Fortis is a proud Saskatchewan-based company known for our innovation, integrity, and deep ties to the communities we serve.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment.

What You’ll Be Doing Recertification and Refurbishing Identify parts or components that should be rejected or recertified
Clean components
Track part numbers and document recertification processes
Perform pull tests on items as required

Job Processing Review, understand, and complete workorder according to recertification criteria
Ensure all required parts and components for recertification are in stock or on order
Ensure all parts and components used in the recertification process are recorded to the job number
Provide all relevant information to the Recertification Coordinator for preparation of recertification certificates
Perform accurate and detailed tracking of time spent on jobs

Equipment, Tool, & Supply Maintenance Utilize handheld tools and power tools to clean attachments
Attend to work area to remove any obstacles that could present a hazard
Inspect equipment and tools prior to each job to ensure they are in clean and good working condition.
Clean and maintain tools upon completion of a job
Replenish required stock and supplies as necessary

Assist other areas in the warehouse as required, including but not limited to, painting, fabrication, machining, and mechanical




What You Bring To The Table Grade 12 education or equivalent
Ability to perform physically demanding jobs
Painting skills would be considered an asset
Mechanical skills would be considered an asset
Any safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience, that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities for the position
