Become a Family Support Worker with Mission Community Services Society, dedicated to empowering families and enhancing community ties. This permanent full time role involves assessment, intervention, and emotional guidance.
You will be responsible for gathering comprehensive client information and assessing their familial needs. Collaborating with an integrated case management team, you’ll develop effective interventions and support systems. Deliver parenting skill-building sessions and provide valuable emotional support to clients in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct interviews and observations to gather client data
• Identify family needs and assess associated risks
• Develop and implement service plans with the team
• Attend regular case management meetings for client tracking
• Provide referrals to other community resources as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in social services
• Minimum one year of related experience
• First Aid and Crisis Intervention certified
• Possess a valid B.C. Driver’s License
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
