Bridgehead Shift Supervisor: Join our Exceptional Team

We are currently seeking a Shift Supervisor who will be responsible for leading their team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintaining smooth coffeehouse operations, and upholding Bridgehead’s high standards of quality, hospitality, and care. As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll develop your leadership skills, build your coffee expertise, and contribute to a warm, welcoming environment that celebrates both excellence and authenticity. You’ll support your team through every rush, inspire confidence and collaboration, and ensure that every detail,



from the perfect espresso shot to a clean, inviting store, reflects our values.

Position: Coffee House Shift Supervisor

Location: Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario, K2P 1M3, Canada

Starting Pay: $18.70 per hour + tips

This is role is for an existing vacancy. No AI will be used during the duration of this hiring process.

What You’ll Do

Provide day-to-day leadership and ensure seamless operations in the manager’s absence

Motivate and guide team members to deliver warm, genuine hospitality and outstanding coffee experiences

Model Bridgehead standards for cleanliness, quality, and efficiency

Train, coach, and mentor Baristas to ensure consistency and skill development

Maintain a positive, inclusive team culture that promotes collaboration and growth

Anticipate and respond to customer needs with professionalism and care

Support accurate record-keeping, cash handling, and adherence to operational procedures

Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and punctuality

Ensure health and safety standards are followed for both customers and team members

Champion Bridgehead’s commitment to sustainability, fair trade, and community engagement

What We’re Looking For





Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a Shift Supervisor or similar leadership role

A professional, customer-focused hospitality mindset

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Team player with the ability to lead, motivate, and support others

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

Physically fit to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 40 kg during a shift

Consistent punctuality, reliability, and accountability

Flexibility regarding store location and hours of work

Certified Food Handler Certificate (required before contract signing)

Certified First Aid/CPR

Post-secondary training in Hospitality, Business, or Management

Passion for coffee, tea, and sustainable trade practices

Creativity, humor, and a positive attitude

Integrity, openness, and kindness in every interaction
