What You’ll Do
As a 5-Axis Machinist at SyBridge Technologies, you will program, set up, operate, and optimize 5-axis CNC machining centers to manufacture precision tooling and components for industry-leading customers.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machining centers
Program and optimize toolpaths using Lemoine and/or PowerMill
Read and interpret engineering CAD designs, Red Line dimensions, and GD&T; requirements
Perform machine setups, prove-out new programs, and optimize machining processes
Select appropriate tooling, workholding, and machining strategies for complex components
Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
Verify parts meet quality and dimensional requirements
Deburr and clean finished components
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements to improve quality and efficiency
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Work collaboratively with engineering, programming, and production teams to meet customer deadlines
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of experience operating and setting up 5-axis CNC machining centers in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Experience programming using Lemoine and/or PowerMill (preferred)
Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain-controlled CNC machines is considered an asset
Strong understanding of 5-axis machining principles, tooling, machine setups, and workholding techniques
Ability to read and interpret engineering CAD designs and work to tight tolerances
Experience inspecting precision components using a variety of measuring equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team workplace
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to climb stairs and work in a manufacturing environment
Comfortable working around varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and other manufacturing conditions
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves,
and other protective equipment as required
