The Mustard Seed is hiring a Recovery Peer Support Worker in Calgary to assist individuals in achieving long-term recovery. Your role will involve providing vital peer support and fostering connections to community resources.
This fixed-term role runs from July to March 2027 and involves one-on-one coaching that promotes empowerment and stability. You will facilitate recovery-oriented groups and help clients grow their recovery capital while ensuring a compassionate, non-judgmental environment. Collaborating with Recovery Advocates will be key to helping clients transition successfully into reliable housing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients in their personal recovery journeys
• Create supportive relationships for goal achievement
• Facilitate events to foster community engagement
• Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions
• Support recovery advocates and housing teams
Requirements:
• Relevant diploma or degree required
• Experience in crisis management and conflict resolution
• Lived experience with recovery or homelessness is valued
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license
