National Warranty Writer (RV / Automotive)

Overview

Responsibilities

Review repair work orders to determine warranty eligibility and ensure claims are complete and accurate.

Interpret manufacturer warranty policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.

Determine financial responsibility between manufacturer warranty, vendor, internal, or customer pay.

Obtain required authorizations and submit accurate warranty claims.

Monitor submitted claims, resolve denials or shortages, and maximize warranty recovery.

Work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Service Managers, and manufacturer representatives to ensure repairs meet warranty requirements.

Provide guidance on warranty documentation, repair validation, and submission best practices.

Support technicians by coordinating repair procedures and technical guidance with manufacturers when required.

Identify warranty trends, assist with recalls, and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Manage priorities independently while thriving in a collaborative national team environment.

Qualifications
Required





Experience in warranty administration, warranty writing, service advising, or warranty claims processing, preferably within the RV, automotive, heavy truck, agricultural equipment, or powersports industries.

Strong understanding of manufacturer warranty programs, OEM policies, and claim submission processes.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong computer, data entry, and documentation skills.

Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.

Assets

Experience with IDS or similar dealer management software.

Experience supporting multiple dealership or service locations.

Familiarity with recalls, manufacturer authorizations, and warranty recovery processes.
