Make a difference every day as a Patient Care Technician at BayCare Health System’s Free Standing ER in South Tampa. This role emphasizes high-quality patient interactions and effective communication.

In this role, report directly to a licensed nurse while attending to a variety of patient needs, including hygiene, mobility, and documentation of care. Essential skills such as urinary catheter insertion and telemetry lead placement are part of your responsibilities, ensuring patients receive thorough care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support patient mobility and daily hygiene requirements
• Document all care interactions thoroughly
• Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff
• Conduct urinary catheter and ostomy care as needed
• Ensure patient safety through vigilant monitoring

Requirements:
• Certification in Basic Life Support required
• 6 months acute care experience or completion of a clinical program
• High School diploma or equivalent necessary
• Preferred 1-year experience in a related health field
• Credential as EMT or nursing assistance is advantageous
