Pay Range: $38.00 – $48.00/hour (based on experience, specialty skills, and leadership role)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. On-call and after-hours work may be required.

Reports To: Project Manager or Operations Manager

The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for executing and leading plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs in residential and light commercial settings. This role involves interpreting mechanical drawings, ensuring compliance with the BC Plumbing Code, and maintaining high standards for quality, customer service, and safety. You will manage your workflow and documentation using ServiceTitan, ensure timely job completion, and play a key role in mentoring apprentices and maintaining project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Install, test, and repair water supply, drainage, and hydronic systems

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications

Rough-in and finish plumbing for recent builds and renovations

Perform system diagnostics and implement repairs

Quote service repairs using ServiceTitan’s pricebook

Maintain clear, thorough records in ServiceTitan, including photos, materials used, and time tracking

Support site safety and WorkSafeBC compliance

Mentor apprentices and provide on-site guidance and coaching





Participate in toolbox meetings and contribute to process improvements

Ensure job site is clean, organized, and professionally presented

Required Qualifications & Attributes

Red Seal Plumbing Certification or equivalent Journeyperson status in BC

Minimum 3–5 years of field experience in residential/light commercial plumbing

Knowledge of BC Building and Plumbing Codes

Experience with hydronic heating systems and pressure/flow diagnostics

Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

Comfortable using ServiceTitan or other field service management software

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Positive attitude and commitment to professional development

Willingness to mentor apprentices and contribute to team success

Field KPIs

Job completion rate within estimated time and scope

Documentation accuracy in ServiceTitan (target: 100%)

Revenue per job/technician day (tracked monthly)

Quality of work based on supervisor audits and client feedback

Callback rate: Target Job site safety score and participation in toolbox talks
