Facilitate crucial communication as a Community Interpreter for Deaf education with Recent Westminster Schools. This role requires expertise in ASL and a commitment to student engagement.

Working closely with educators under the Director of Instruction, you will interpret for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students in various educational settings. Your background in child development and ability to connect with diverse learning needs will be instrumental in supporting student participation and success across all school activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide interpreting services in classrooms and during school functions
• Collaborate with teachers on student learning objectives
• Review materials and interpret educational assessments




• Implement Individual Education Plans as needed
• Manage assistive communication devices effectively

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and ASL interpreting qualification
• Minimum one year experience with youth in this capacity
• Membership in WAVLI or eligibility
• Knowledge of language development for Deaf learners
• Class 5 Driver's license required for travel between sites
