Looking to build meaningful clinical work and enjoy a better quality of life? A community-based, nonprofit organization in Prince Edward Island is seeking a compassionate Clinical Therapist to provide trauma-informed counselling to survivors of sexual violence.

About the Role
You will manage a full caseload of individual clients and facilitate group therapy, working within a feminist, pro-choice, and anti-oppressive framework . The work is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed practice and supported by a collaborative clinical team.

Key Responsibilities
Provide trauma-informed counselling to individuals and groups

Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation

Participate in clinical supervision, peer consultation,



and team meetings

Collaborate with community partners and allied professionals

Stay current with best practices in trauma-informed and survivor-centred care

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or related field

Registered and in good standing with a relevant professional body (RSW, CCC, RP, or equivalent)

2–5 years of counselling or clinical therapy experience

Experience in trauma, sexual violence, or gender-based violence strongly preferred

Group facilitation experience an asset

Training in trauma-specific modalities (EMDR, IFS, DBR, DBT) considered an asset

Strong alignment with feminist, pro-choice, and anti-oppressive practice

Full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours/week)

Market-competitive salary, commensurate with experience

3 weeks vacation annually (pro-rated)

Sick leave: 1.25 days per month

16 paid statutory holidays

Additional Requirements
Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
