Salary: CAD $51.37 - $64.19 per hour
Summary: Are you looking to showcase your clinical hospital pharmaceutical skills? This part-time opportunity is to join our team at Central City Tower in Surrey, BC.
Responsibilities Provide individualized pharmacotherapy and client medication counselling
Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to develop, implement and monitor therapeutic plans
Assist in developing drug therapy guidelines for disease conditions
Prepare case studies and articles for professional journals; contribute to knowledge sharing
Act as a department resource in the assigned area
Participate in medication use evaluations, quality improvement initiatives and clinical drug trials
Mentor and supervise pharmacy students, residents and new staff
Ensure prescriptions are validated and dispensed accurately; address medication safety concerns with the health care team; document professional practice activities
Qualifications Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
Completion of an accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Broad knowledge of organization policies, evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice, and medication use evaluation
Solid communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with health care teams
Ability to organize, prioritize work and maintain accurate records
Physical ability to perform duties as required
