This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations across Canada and the United States, including complex cross-border and intercompany transactions.Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will serve as the financial backbone of the organization, owning the monthly close, financial reporting, controls, forecasting, and strategic financial support. The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is motivated to grow into a future CFO role as the company scales.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process across Canadian and U.S. entitiesPrepare, review, and present accurate financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)Ensure timely account reconciliations and reviewed financialsMaintain the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial dataAccounting Operations & ControlsOversee day-to-day accounting operations and work closely with the in-house bookkeeperEstablish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls and accounting policiesEnsure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and internal policiesManage intercompany accounting and eliminationsBudgeting, Forecasting & Financial ModelingDevelop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plansBuild financial models, projections,
