Duties
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods between locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Load and unload cargo with care, utilizing heavy lifting techniques when necessary to handle freight securely
Plan productive routes to optimize delivery times and fuel usage, adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions
Maintain accurate delivery logs, driver reports, and documentation for all shipments




Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle issues promptly to ensure optimal performance

Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for heavy trucks
Proven experience driving large trucks or similar heavy vehicles in various conditions
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of loading or unloading cargo
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and route planning techniques
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
Physical stamina to handle long hours of driving and manual tasks involved in cargo handling
