Position Function Reporting to the Procurement Director, the candidate will handle supplier relations and oversee the onboarding process. This involves close collaboration with Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Accounts Payable departments, facilitating communication and documentation, and reaching out to suppliers for technical data to ensure internal documentation is current for ingredients and resale products. The role acts as a technical liaison between suppliers and internal teams, ensuring high quality and customer satisfaction.
Major Tasks and Duties Qualify and approve new vendors and manufacturers by obtaining necessary documentation, working directly with vendors to support approval processes.
Support product approval by collaborating with vendors and the Commercialization team to gather documentation for new materials.
Create vendor, manufacturer, and item codes to initiate commercialization.
Collect facility information (LOG, audit certificates, reports, etc.) from vendors to maintain updated records of approved vendors and manufacturing facilities.
Manage the internal Change Control process for Procurement,
coordinating with other departments for completion.
Generate reports as required by management or other teams.
Become proficient in the internal Ticket Sourcing software and processes.
Assist the Procurement team with New Supplier Evaluation (NSE) requests.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Adhere to all company policies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results promptly.
Attention to detail and computer literacy.
Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
A background in Science or Quality Assurance is advantageous.
Experience with document management is beneficial.
Knowledge of GFSI standards is considered an asset.
Process and documentation-oriented mindset.
