Registered Technologist, Regular Part-Time
Diagnostic Services - Radiology (CT Scan), Niagara Falls & Fort Erie Sites
Hours of work: 0.6 FTE
Union: OPSEU
Position objective Working to promote Imaging excellence, quality patient/client-centred care and high professional standards, the Registered Technologist (MRT (R)) will be responsible for the patient assessment, exam completion, documentation and evaluation of images. The objective of the Registered Technologist is to provide secure and competent exams through the application of imaging knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism and respect. Travel between sites required.
Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program in Radiology
Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario in Radiology (CMRITO) M.R.T.(R)
Current BCLS certification
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the production and assessment all diagnostics and CT Scan
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting medical radiation practice standards as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service
Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving
Working knowledge of Hospital and Diagnostic Imaging Information and Imaging Systems and other related computer systems
Willing to travel between sites
Consistent and regular attendance required
Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
