Casual Facilitator – Tisdale & Area Early Years Family Resource Centre
Location: Tisdale & Area Early Years Family Resource Centre, Saskatchewan
Employment Type: Casual (on‑call basis)
Start Date: ASAP

Purpose
The Family Resource Centre supports families with children from prenatal to age five and their caregivers. The facilitator plans, assists, and leads play‑based learning sessions and supports families in accessing services.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, assist and facilitate age‑appropriate play‑based learning and sessions for children and parents.

Maintain a safe and clean physical space, ensuring resources are available and equipment is sanitized.

Create a learning‑rich environment during drop‑in and scheduled programming periods.

Follow safe work practices and assist with opening and closing procedures.

Collaborate with casual staff, volunteers, contracted agencies, and assist with their needs.

Be available to answer parents’ questions and provide information, linkages, or referrals to outside agencies.

Assist with data collection: help families with check‑in, register new families, complete paperwork, enter registrations into the database, distribute and collect surveys, and maintain attendance records.

Promote upcoming programs via posters and Facebook.





Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Early Years Coordinator.

Qualifications

Early Childhood Education Certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1–2 years of experience working with children, youth, and families, preferably facilitating programs for both children and adults.

Knowledge of early childhood development.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Valid First Aid/CPR Certification.

Valid Saskatchewan driver’s licence with access to a vehicle.

Flexibility to work regular business hours, early evenings, and occasional weekends.

Ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations.

Additional Information
Travel to and from the centre is required. The position is casual and on‑call; suitable candidates will be assigned based on need.
