Full time practitioner needed - Heath, Chesterfield
We are looking for a full time childcare practitioner to join our team.

The position is for 37.5 hours per week but sometimes we may ask staff to do extra hours. It will be a temporary contract with a chance of being made permanent.

We run a nursery that cares for children aged 0-11. We are open 7:30am - 6:00pm, Monday-Friday, all year round. We close for bank holidays and Christmas. We provide childcare for 0-3s as well as running a breakfast and afterschool club for children aged 3-11. The job vacancy we have will be based with the 0-3s but sometimes staff are needed to be in other rooms with different ages. We have a close link to the adjoining school.

Job roles will include:

To assist the room leader with the day‑to‑day running of the room

Being a key person to a number of children

Working in our breakfast and afterschool club (ages 3‑11)

Observing,



planning and working with the EYFS

Working alongside other practitioners

Working as part of a team

Qualified to Level 3 or above

Some experience of working with children

Valuable understanding of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Ability to communicate effectively

Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage

Knowledge of child development

Staff members are required to do training, attend courses and participate in staff meetings which all may be out of our working hours.
