Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing secure, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).





Additional Required Qualifications
In this position, you will be on your feet for an extended period of time (both walking and standing), and you must be able to assist in transporting, lifting and positioning of patients. You will also be required to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment. This role may require working different shift schedules, including rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year Acute, Obstetrics and Emergency nursing experience is preferred. Experience with Connect Care, and general computer skills. CTAS and ACLS. Other courses and training applicable to the rural acute and emergency setting an asset.
