JOB TITLE: Architectural Draftsperson
LOCATION: Unit 2, 2260, Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga, ON, L5N 6M6 (1 Vacancy)
JOB TYPE: Regular
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full time
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: $37.00 per hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Office & On-site
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and prepare architectural and engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts from sketches, design concepts, and project specifications.
Operate computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software and related drafting equipment to prepare detailed technical drawings and construction documents.
Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, permit drawings, and construction documents for commercial, hospitality, retail, and residential projects.
Revise and update drawings to incorporate design changes, client requirements, and project specifications.
Coordinate with designers,
architects, engineers, consultants, and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and technical records throughout all stages of the design process.
Review drawings for accuracy, quality standards, and compliance with applicable building codes, municipal regulations, and project requirements.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Completion of college program in related field is required.
Minimum 7 months to 1 year of experience in related position is preferred.
Effectively communicate orally and in writing in English.
Experience working with CAD, MS Office, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Windows is an asset.
Able to work independently and in a team, flexible, good time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
