Job Overview
As a Personal Banking Associate Trainee at TD Canada Trust, you will engage with customers at the branch, guide them to the appropriate staff member, and support frontline staff with day‑to‑day banking transactions. You will help customers solve financial queries, promote banking products, and enhance their digital banking experience.
Key Responsibilities
Engage customers in daily advice, service transactions, digital education, and problem resolution related to banking solutions.
Understand customer needs and guide them to the right contact person for appropriate solutions, exercising good judgment in confidential matters.
Educate customers on emerging digital banking trends such as mobile, ATM, and online banking.
Support frontline staff with scheduled cash and non‑cash transactions; resolve critical issues and report non‑standard matters to management.
Recommend improvements to work practices and branch operations to enhance customer experience and achieve operational excellence.
Participate in timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures.
Ensure prepared documentation is accurate, reflects business intentions, and is consistent with relevant regulations and TD’s Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Help build a positive and equitable work environment by promoting team effectiveness, participating in personal performance development, and sharing industry knowledge to achieve common objectives.
Qualifications
High school diploma and/or 1+ years of relevant experience.
Investment Funds Canada (IFC) or equivalent – post‑appointment within 6 months.
Post‑secondary or undergraduate degree (in related field) preferred.
Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), branch software, and internet.
Knowledge of banking solutions and processes needed to advise customers.
Self‑starter who can work independently in a dynamic environment, with solid administration, organization, planning, and time‑management skills.
Dynamic, diligent, and effective influencer with a can‑do attitude, able to exercise initiative and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Strong communicator with established customer experience skills who can effectively connect, both verbally and in writing, with customers and related teams in a courteous and effective manner.
Mobility
This opportunity requires geographic mobility within the assigned district. Upon completion of the training program, you may be assigned to a position compatible with your training, potentially involving a transfer or relocation within the region. You understand and accept that mobility to any location in the assigned region is a condition of employment.
