Job Responsibilities
Provides administrative support to the HSE Department in all areas including workplace safety, supporting environmental and health initiatives, contractor compliance, maintaining records and audit support.

Assists in carrying out policies and procedures in all areas HSE.

All administrative functions related to the HSE department such as handling inspections, creating presentations, requisitions, scheduling, taking minutes, and attending meetings as required.

Learns and delivers trainings and orientation to current hires, schedules hearing tests, and manages contractor safety.

Help updates and develops safety procedures, policies and risk assessments.

Assists with managing Pre‑Start Health & Safety Reports.

Involvement and support in all audits for the department including Magna standards, Mafact Standards and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 Audits.

Supports Safety Data Sheet management and WHMIS regulations.

Involvement in accident/near‑miss/spill investigation and maintenance of the program.

Updates HSELinx with bills, incidents and other required information.

Conducts floor walks and follows up with employees and management on suggestions and improvements.

Assists with training booking, presentations, and special projects as needed.

Regularly inspects first aid room, spill kits, and vending machines.

Creates Safety Quiz and distributes it to employees monthly.

Ensures compliance with OHSA and the Environmental Protection Act.

Assists with 5S initiatives, housekeeping of the plant,



and program development.

Performs all job functions safely and healthfully, abiding by all Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.

Coordinates and administrates hearing tests and pre‑placement medical examinations as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of a university working towards a degree programme or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics or a related field.

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Exceptional organisational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross‑functional team.

Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritise a heavy workload.

Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Basic understanding of OHSA and EPA regulations.

Compensation and Vacancy
Annual compensation range: $25 per hour.

Vacancy: Immediate, Open Position.
