What You’ll Be Doing
You will be a welcomed team member, working in a rapid‑paced environment where you make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Personal Support Worker, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with residents and their families, offering support options and program choices that enrich daily health and well‑being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you contribute to a culture where the focus is helping residents live fully every day.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
Provide respectful, person‑centered support in daily activities such as eating, dressing, personal hygiene,
and grooming, following each resident’s individualized care plan.
Help residents stay connected and engaged by assisting with communication tools and sensory aids.
Promote safety and independence by ensuring easy access to mobility and assistive devices.
Contribute to residents’ comfort and overall well‑being by offering cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support, including oral and dental care.
Encourage participation in programs offered by the Resident Engagement Team.
Be compassionate, patient, and motivated by work that enriches seniors’ lives.
Have completed a Personal Support Worker program from an accredited institution or be an Internationally Educated Nurse with a recognized nursing degree.
Be detail‑oriented and skilled in delivering safe, effective bedside care including simple treatments and procedures.
Communicate with tact and professionalism, building positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
What You Need To Know
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
