Work Schedule
Day Shift – Monday to Thursday - 6:00am to 4:30 pm

Role & Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications

Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW)

Stainless steel, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and submerged arc welding etc.

Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment

Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding equipment

May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications

Mentor and train apprentices

Must follow all company policies and procedures including Trotter & Morton's Health and Safety program





Understand and follow company Quality Control Program

Performs other duties as required

Required Skills

Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Team player and results orientated

Strong oral and written communication skills

Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

Required Experience

Experience with SMAW/FCAW/MCAW/GMAW/GTAW welding is essential, other welding experience is an asset

Minimum 3 Years of experience in pressure piping / vessels / stainless steel welding and fabrication workplace

B-Pressure certification required

Must possess a valid Alberta Journeyperson Certificate with Interprovincial Red Seal in Welding is preferred

Must have CSTS/ WHIMIS
