Swift Cargo Inc. is a premier global logistics provider with over 33 years of excellence in NVOCC, ocean/air freight, and multi-modal transportation. Following our strategic expansion into Canada and our official membership with the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA), we are scaling our North American domestic capabilities. We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Manager-Truck Brokerage to spearhead our road freight operations and carrier procurement networks across Canada and the US cross-border lanes.

Position Overview
As the Truck Brokerage Manager, you will build, scale, and optimize Swift Cargo’s domestic over-the-road (OTR) division. You will design regional carrier sourcing strategies, negotiate rates, lead a team of operations coordinators, and maintain high fulfillment standards for our enterprise accounts.

Core Responsibilities

Network Sourcing : Source, vet, and onboard regional and national asset-based carriers to secure dry van, reefer, and flatbed capacity.

Rate Strategy :



Set competitive pricing matrixes for client RFQs while maintaining solid gross margins on spot and contract freight.

Team Leadership : Train and mentor a fast-paced team of logistics coordinators, dispatchers, and carrier sales representatives.

Operations : Oversee daily dispatch, freight matching, tracking, and proactive exceptions management using automated TMS systems.

Compliance Management : Maintain strict compliance with CVOR, Ministry of Transportation (MTO), and cross-border customs regulations (CBSA/CBP).

Required Qualifications

Experience : 4+ years managing non-asset truck brokerage or 3PL logistics environments in Canada.

Geographic Scope : Thorough knowledge of the Golden Horseshoe freight hub, cross-border US-Canada lanes, and backhaul dynamics.

Software Skills : Proficiency with industry load boards (Loadlink, DAT) and premium TMS architecture.

Network : An existing rolodex of reliable small-to-mid-sized asset carriers is highly preferred
