Job Description
FAMILY PHYSICIAN – STE. ROSE DU LAC

Position Summary
Ste. Rose du Lac Health Centre is a 26‑bed acute care and 65‑bed long‑term care facility. Services offered include Diagnostic, Emergency, Palliative, and Mental Health.

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Ste. Rose du Lac Health Centre. Duties to include: performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders, and injuries of patients; acting as the primary care provider and providing continuous care toward the management of patients’ health.

The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on‑call schedule and will cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues.

Work Location
On‑site – Ste Rose du Lac Health Centre (480 3rd Ave SE, Ste. Rose, MB R0L 1S0), Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home Services (515 Mission St, Ste. Rose, MB R0L 1S0). There is no option to work remotely.

Anticipated Start Date
As soon as possible

Anticipated Shift
Full Time, Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends

Daily Hours Worked
Various hour shifts (30 to 40 hours per week)

Education: Degree in Medicine

Wage Rate
Compensation is fee‑for‑service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired.

Credentials

Must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree





Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba

Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance

Experience and Specialization
Specialization in: Family Physician

Security And Safety

Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.

All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
