Weeneebayko Area Health Authority is hiring a Boat Operator for Moose Factory and Moosonee, ON. Ensure safe and effective patient transport while operating a jet powered watercraft.

As a Boat Operator at WAHA, you will play a crucial role in the region's healthcare system. This term position (May to November) requires the use of navigational skills and equipment to safely maneuver through local waterways. You will also engage on-call shifts to support patient and paramedic transport as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate WAHA boat following safety guidelines
• Document and perform inspections of the watercraft
• Communicate effectively with transportation teams
• Attend to on-call shifts for emergency transport
• Assist paramedics in lifting patients when required

Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license with favorable abstract
• Transport Canada approved Pleasure Craft Operators Card
• Familiarity with local waterways and safety regulations
• Previous boat operating experience
• Ability to communicate in local Cree is a plus
