Electrician – Cochrane Sawmill

Responsibilities

Perform electrical work as required: installing, repairing, troubleshooting, testing, and analyzing equipment.

Read and interpret electrical code specifications, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.

Conduct preventive maintenance programs on electrical equipment.

Complete appropriate paperwork, machine/panel documentation, and preventative maintenance records.

In emergencies, make temporary or permanent repairs to minimize interruption of production.

Assisting on other duties to support the maintenance team to meet department requirements.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Requirements

Graduate of an Electrical Engineering Technology program or equivalent.

Valid Electrician License Construction & Maintenance (C&M;) 309A or an Industrial Electrician 442A.

Must have valuable communication and leadership skills.

Must be able to read and understand electrical prints.

Able to set priorities and work with minimum supervision.

Strong computing and troubleshooting ability.





Teamwork and self‑starting work ethic.

Knowledge of lockout: isolation and de‑energization of all energy sources for the work area.

Bilingualism is an asset (French and English).

Salary
Starting Salary for a fully licensed Electrician is $41.32 per hour.
