Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and efficient. Your primary focus will be conducting routine inspections, executing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical system failures.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, solid attention to detail, and a deep commitment to workplace safety regulations.



Working alongside other trades in the maintenance team as well as operations, this role requires you to be proactive troubleshooter who takes pride in ensuring minimal operational downtime.

Core Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.

Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.

Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.

Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

High voltage switching, isolation and lock outs.

May troubleshoot instrumentation and related devices.

Education & Experience

2-5 years of concentrator (mill)



operating experience relating to crushing, grinding and flotation would be a definite asset.

High School Diploma or Equivalent with Inter-provincial Journeyman Trade Certificate.

Skills & Competencies

Familiarity with Schnieder PLC and Emerson Delta V DCS is also an asset.
