We are currently looking for a Landfill Operator at our Elk Point Landfill located approximately 25km South of Elk Point. This role is shift work, working 7 days on and 7 days off, having hours of 7am-7pm. Applicants must be able to provide their own accommodations locally.

Responsibilities

Landfill safety (i.e. ensuring that all Standard Operating Procedures and safe work procedures are followed. As well as permitting visitors and contractors, completing Hazard Assessments, identifying and tracking hazards, near misses and incidents within the R360 Canada safety tracking program Intelex in a timely manner)

Responsible for proper equipment operation

Responsible for administering scale operations and data entry

Collecting random samples

Ensuring landfill and building maintenance

Performing general cleaning duties throughout the day





Conducting ongoing equipment maintenance

What We Need From You

A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent

A valid and acceptable driver’s license and successful completion of pre-employment testing

A minimum of 2 years oilfield experience is ideal but not required

Valid and current safety tickets including H2S Alive and First Aid

A strong attention to detail, communication skills and a profound ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment

Mechanically inclined and productive when working alone under very limited supervision

Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
