The Role Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer Co-op to join our Research and Development International team as a co-op for 8-12 months starting in Summer 2026. The team is comprised of many highly talented enthusiastic individuals who ensure the services and offerings from Kobo are available to both internal and external customers. In this role, the Software Quality Assurance Engineer Co-op will work with the Global Delivery Team made up of Developers and Testers and take an active part in delivering high quality software to Rakuten Kobo’s users. The Person A passion for software development and delivery Excellent oral and written communication skills Have a desire to work in a team but also be self-organizing enough to be able to work on a task independently Required The Skillset: Some previous experience in and Object-Oriented Software Language such as C# or Java An understanding of T-SQL Databases Experience with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) Knowledge of using source control systems such as Git or TFS Knowledge of software testing Techniques such as Static (Manual or Automatic,
