Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Part-Time Salon Assistant / Junior Associate to join our team.

This is a paid position and a great prospect for someone who is interested in the beauty industry and wants to gain hands-on salon experience. You will support our stylists, help maintain a clean and organized salon, assist clients, and contribute to a professional and welcoming environment.

Previous salon experience is an asset, but it is not required. We are happy to work with someone who is eager to learn, responsible, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
Welcome clients and help create a friendly, professional experience
Assist stylists with basic salon tasks, hair preparation, tools, and products
Shampoo and prepare clients when required
Keep workstations, shampoo areas, and common spaces clean and organized
Clean and sanitize salon tools and equipment according to health and safety standards
Assist with laundry, towels, capes, and general salon organization
Help with appointment scheduling, client check-in/check-out, and basic front desk duties
Organize and maintain retail product displays




Answer basic client questions professionally
Support the salon team during busy periods

Requirements
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Friendly and professional with strong customer service skills
Comfortable working in a busy salon environment
Willing to clean, organize, and assist wherever needed
Interested in learning more about hairstyling and salon operations
Basic hairstyling knowledge is an asset but not required
Previous salon, retail, or customer service experience is an asset

What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is hardworking, organized, energetic, and willing to learn. This position is ideal for someone who wants to build practical experience in the beauty industry and grow their skills while working alongside experienced specialists.

Pay: $18.25 per hour
