Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistry
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all food preparation areas
Source fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to preserve quality and freshness
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
Educate and guide junior kitchen staff or apprentices on sushi techniques and presentation standards
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to keep the kitchen well-stocked
Uphold consistency in taste, appearance,



and portion sizes across all dishes served

Qualifications
Proven experience working as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
Experience working with children or teaching culinary skills is a plus
Background in cooking, early childhood education, or classroom experience is advantageous for engaging with younger audiences or educational programs
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining high standards of quality
Passion for culinary arts and continuous learning about current sushi trends and techniques
