You As a Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator Will
Be responsible for site specific safety orientation, job site inspections and accident/incident reports
Monitor employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance with safety procedures and elevate issues to resolution
Proactively identify and prevent hazardous situations and take necessary measures to correct them
Organize and conduct training programs including but not limited to: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid
Create, maintain, and educate all site staff on maintaining a safety first culture
Review subcontractors’ pre‑construction safety submittals
Review and file subcontractors’ weekly safety submittals
Effectively compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics
Is this the right role for you?
You have a minimum of 3-5 years of safety construction experience in ICI buildings
Preference will be given to those with Advanced Care Paramedic
You have the ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations
You are working towards, or are already certified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a construction site
