Lytton Health Services has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Medical Office Assistant to join their team in Lytton, B.C.
Hours of work are Rotating, Days, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.

Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. Responsibilities
Perform a variety of medical office assistant and clerical duties such as registering patients, including scheduling and confirming appointments.
Answer telephones, general correspondence,
record keeping, chart notes, reports, medical billings.
Data entry and word processing, graphic and database applications.
Compile and enter statistical information.
Write correspondence including recording, transcribing and typing forms.
Balance and check revenue transactions.
Manage medical/surgical supplies and equipment and other resource material.
Escort patients to examination/treatment rooms and ensure appropriate instruments, procedure trays or other supplies are set up.
Attend sensitive examination procedures and treatments; routine measurements such as weight, BMI calculations, eye exams, urinalysis.
Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments as well as deliver and dispose of supplies, biological material and equipment.
Qualifications
Grade 12.
Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant course from an accredited community college.
Two years recent related experience in a health care setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Valid BC Driver’s License as required.
Completion of an administered 5 minute typing certificate of 40 wpm in the last 24 months from an approved institution (non-supervised tests are not accepted).
