What you’ll do Receive and handle live birds according to animal welfare guidelines.
Hang live birds safely and humanely on the processing line.
Monitor bird condition and report concerns immediately.
Slaughter & Primary Processing Perform slaughter tasks in compliance with regulations and facility SOPs.
Remove birds from the line and place birds onto the line as needed.
Strip wax, pull pin feathers, and complete other de-feathering steps.
Maintain steady workflow to meet production targets.
Operational Duties Work in cold rooms, wet areas, or steamy environments for extended periods.




Handle raw poultry while maintaining strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
Keep work areas clean to support HACCP food safety controls.
Follow all equipment safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements (as applicable).
Maintain and adhere to all company policies and SOPs
Adhere to all HACCP and WorkSafeBC requirements
Help in other departments as required
