WSP is hiring an Archaeology Field Technician I for the Spring 2026 field season in Ontario. Play a critical role in archaeological surveys and support essential fieldwork activities.
As a Field Technician, your responsibilities will include assisting experienced Field Supervisors with Stage 2 surveys and site-specific assessments. Collaboration in a team setting is essential, and you will maintain skilled standards while working outdoors in varying conditions. Your dedication to safety and ethical practice will enhance project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute archaeological fieldwork under supervision
• Provide assistance to Field Supervisors and team members
• Actively participate in outdoor team activities
• Demonstrate high ethical standards throughout work
• Adapt to different weather and terrain conditions
Requirements:
• Enjoy the outdoor fieldwork environment
• Handle physically demanding tasks with ease
• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities
• Valid Ontario driver’s license is required
• Degree in Archaeology or experience is advantageous
