System Support Technician (SST) Reporting to the Manager, Fleet & Physical Resources, the System Support Technician (SST) is a key part of the EMC team that ensures a well‑maintained, safe, and efficient fleet of vehicles to support patient care.
Responsibilities Complete light mechanical repairs as directed.
Perform required Ambulance Base Station facilities repairs, including cleaning, painting, yard maintenance, lighting repairs and general maintenance.
Ensure all system vehicles based out of the Fleet Centre are stocked and in a ready state in accordance with EMC and EHS Fleet Policy and Procedures at all times.
Conduct all cleaning of vehicle interior or exterior following proper decontamination policies.
Maintain cleanliness of the fleet centre during scheduled shift and perform a deep clean at least once a week.
Perform any other similar, comparable or related duties as may be required or assigned.
Participate in fleet on‑call duty as scheduled.
Qualifications and Requirements Minimum Grade 12
WHMIS Class 4 License (required)
First Aid certification (asset)
Valuable dexterity, general health, eyesight and physical coordination
Effective oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated decision‑making skills and initiative
