Expand your orthopaedic expertise at Humber River Health as a temporary part time Registered Orthopaedic Technologist in the Fracture Clinic, focusing on patient assessment and care.
In this pivotal role, you will conduct splinting, casting, and assist in minor surgical procedures while ensuring comprehensive patient assessments. The position involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to customize orthopaedic care plans based on patient needs while managing inventory and adhering to safety regulations. Active participation in patient education will enhance recovery and promote effective follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct interventions and cast applications under supervision
• Evaluate and revise patient care strategies
• Document treatments and manage patient records
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols
• Coach and train junior orthopaedic staff as needed
Requirements:
• CSOT registration as a Registered Orthopaedic Technologist
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in orthopaedics
• A degree from an accredited Orthopaedic Technologist Programme
• Strong knowledge of treatment protocols and aseptic practices
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
