We are looking for a Fit Model for Medium Women’s Apparel to support the development and fit evaluation of MEC apparel. This is not an employee role. This is an independent contractor opportunity with fit sessions scheduled on an as-needed basis at our Vancouver office .

The Role Fit models play an important role in the apparel development process. In this role, you will help our Product Development, Design, and Technical Design teams evaluate the fit, comfort, movement, and performance of garments throughout the design and development cycle.
What You’ll Be Doing Participate in apparel fit sessions with our Product Development, Design, and Technical Design teams.
Try on a variety of apparel products, including activewear, outerwear, base layers, and other technical garments.
Change garments throughout fit sessions as needed.
Stand and move for extended periods while garments are assessed.
Provide clear and constructive feedback on fit, comfort, mobility, and garment performance.
Support the product team in maintaining consistent fit standards across MEC apparel collections.




Allow photos to be taken during fit sessions for internal fit evaluation and documentation purposes only. Faces will be obscured or cropped to protect privacy.
Fit Specifications We are looking for individuals whose body measurements closely align with our Medium Women’s Apparel fit standards, within a tolerance of approximately plus or minus ½ inch.
Medium Women’s Apparel Height: 5'5"
Chest circumference: 37¼"
Natural waist circumference: 30½"
Hip circumference: 39½"
Inseam length, crotch to floor: 30½"

What We’re Looking For Comfortable standing for extended periods of time.
Comfortable changing garments frequently during fit sessions.
Comfortable providing feedback on garment fit, comfort, and mobility.
Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly with the product development team.
Available for fit sessions on an ongoing, as-needed basis.
Able to maintain body measurements within the required fit model specifications.
Availability We are looking for fit models who can be available on an ongoing basis for:
2 to 4 hours per session.




Weekly or bi-weekly sessions, as needed.
Ideally Tuesdays and Thursdays, based on current cross-functional team schedules.
We understand schedules vary and are open to working with candidates to find mutually suitable times. All fit sessions are scheduled on an as-needed basis, with a minimum session length of approximately 2 hours.
Contractor Details This is an independent contractor engagement. Successful candidates will submit invoices for completed fit sessions and will be responsible for any applicable taxes, business registration requirements, or other contractor obligations. The anticipated hourly rate range is $20 to $40 per hour. The exact rate will depend on the successful candidate’s relevant skills, experience, location and qualifications.

Chest, measured at the fullest circumference, keeping the tape under the arms and across the shoulder blades
Natural waist, measured at the narrowest circumference of the waist, often above the navel and higher than where pants sit on the body
Hip, measured at the fullest circumference while standing with feet together
Inseam, measured from crotch point straight to the floor while standing shoulder width apart

Your weekly availability, including days and times
Full-length front, side, and back photos in a fitted tank top and shorts
Photos will be used only to help assess fit alignment for this contractor opportunity.
