Lytton Health Services has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Medical Office Assistant to join their team in Lytton, B.C.
Hours of work are rotating, days Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.
Application Requirements
Typing Test – Minimum 40 wpm, completed within the last 24 months from a recognized institution.
Medical Office Assistant Certificate or proof of course completion.
Education & Experience – Grade 12 plus two years’ recent related experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
Resume – Highlighting your skills and relevant experience.

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of medical office assistant and clerical duties such as registering patients,
scheduling and confirming appointments.
Answer telephones, general correspondence, record keeping, chart notes, reports, and medical billing.
Data entry and word processing, graphic and database applications.
Compile and enter statistical information.
Write correspondence, including recording, transcribing and typing forms.
Balance and check revenue transactions.
Manage medical/surgical supplies and equipment and other resource material.
Escort patients to examination/treatment rooms and ensure appropriate instruments, procedure trays or other supplies are set up.
Attend sensitive examination procedures and treatments; routine measurements – weight, BMI calculations, eye exams, urinalysis.
Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments, and deliver and dispose of supplies, biological, material and equipment.
