Vancouver Island Enterprises is looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team immediately. This is a hands-on, varied position involving operating a wheel loader, assisting customers with retail landscape material sales, and driving a single-axle dump truck for local deliveries.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, comfortable working around equipment and customers, and is available to work weekends. This position is available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities
Operate a wheel loader safely and efficiently to load customer vehicles and company trucks
Assist customers with retail sales and provide friendly, skilled service
Drive a single-axle dump truck for local material deliveries
Load and handle materials such as soil, gravel, mulch, compost, and other landscape products
Perform basic daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns
Keep the yard, equipment, and customer areas clean and organized
Follow all company safety procedures and protected equipment operating practices
Assist with general yard duties as required




Work independently and as part of a team during busy periods

Qualifications
Previous loader or heavy equipment operating experience preferred
Valid driver's licence with a good driving record
Air brake endorsement preferred, but Vancouver Island Enterprises may provide training for the right candidate
Experience driving trucks or operating equipment is an asset
Comfortable dealing with customers and handling retail sales
Dependable and available to work weekends
Strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
Safety-conscious and able to work efficiently in a busy setting
Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Available to start immediately

We are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and interested in becoming a valuable part of our team. For the right person, we are willing to provide additional training and help develop the skills needed for the position. Immediate start available.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
