Compensation
The hourly rate for this role ranges between $22.00-$30.00 with eligibility for an incentive target of $1,800.00 contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, relevant experience and individual skills.

Position Summary
This hybrid KeepStock/Branch role supports both business functions in a particular market. The Field Operations Associate will serve key customers both at the branch and on customers’ sites, focusing on sales and service opportunities to create loyalty and exceed expectations.

Job Responsibilities
Branch

Own the entire customer experience, including product selection, accurate order entry and maintenance, secure picking and loading into customer vehicles.

Perform actions with a branch sales focus to capitalize on sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty to deliver revenue targets.

Promote company products and services and provide substitutions where required.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of sold products and tools, completing required certification.

Process customer transactions and provide updates on delivery, lead times, and quotes.





Manage tasks related to filling vending machines and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).

Collaborate with KeepStock customers on program/product updates for vending/VMI.

KeepStock

Service customer needs including VMI, vending unit replenishment, and other service requirements.

Ensure proper product stocking levels by scanning for orders as inventory depletes.

Oversee customer inventory locations, ensuring proper labeling and accurate quantities on hand.

Meet regularly with key customer contacts to ensure needs are met and products are available.

Resolve customer problems promptly and accurately to retain and promote loyalty.

Follow the designated customer route as defined by routing software tools.

Document standard operating procedures at customer locations for backup resources.

Identify continuous improvement opportunities in productivity, process improvement, and cycle time.

Comply with safety and inspection requirements at the service facility.

Education & Experience

High school diploma.

1-3 years experience in retail/selling or customer service environments.

Flexibility in working hours to accommodate branch operations.

Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts.

Successful and timely completion of initial and ongoing training as required.

Self-motivated with high energy and dedication to customer service and sales growth.

Effective collaboration with internal and external customers and cross-functional partners.

Demonstrated strong judgment, independent problem-solving skills, and understanding of Grainger’s Core Value Proposition.





Ability to handle various technical and operational issues.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Background checks and drug screening may be required.

Valid driver’s license in the province of residence.

May require use of a personal vehicle meeting Grainger’s standards.

This role may require attending customers’ sites and adhering to safety requirements in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, including the use of personal protective equipment such as hard hats and steel-toed safety boots.
