The U17 AAA Airdrie Avalanche are seeking a qualified and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team for the 2026-27 season. This position is for game coverage only and includes all home and away games, including league, exhibition, and playoff games.

Position Responsibilities

Provide on-site medical and first aid coverage during games.

Assess and manage acute injuries sustained during competition.

Coordinate emergency action plans and injury response when required.

Communicate injury updates and recommendations to coaching staff and families.

Maintain and organize medical supplies and game‑day equipment.

Complete injury documentation and reports as necessary.

Travel with the team to away games when required.

Qualifications & Skills

Certification in Athletic Therapy, Sports Therapy, Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, or a related field.





Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Experience working with hockey teams or high‑performance athletes is preferred.

Robust communication and decision‑making skills.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holiday schedules during the season.

Compensation
Compensation will be discussed with qualified candidates and will be based on experience and availability.
