Forest Technician

Compensation: $22/hr - $28/hr

What You Will Do
The Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cut block engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost‑effective and professional manner. This field‑based position may involve out‑of‑town and camp work.

Qualifications and Competencies

A safety conscious attitude;





Post‑secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 3 years of related field experience;

Broad understanding of general forestry practices;

Valid driver’s license and protected driving record;

Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions;

Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment.
