Fills customer orders, inspects material, packs material for shipments and drives trucks as needed in the assigned department/location.
Performs other tasksESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReceives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendorsChecks and places materials in the correct binChecks material against the manifest and reports discrepanciesInforms supervisor and photographs all defective materialsCuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending ordersReads, interprets, processes and packs ordersPerforms total skid count for loadsAssists the needs of the customerKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESKnowledge of computers sufficient to perform basic customer service functions.Knowledge of materials inventoriedKnowledge of packing techniquesKnowledge of proper material handling techniquesAbility to understand and follow directionsAbility to work independentlyAbility to drive a lift truck and operate a table sawAbility to read and understand customer ordersKnowledge of DOT requirementsSkill in proper handling techniques for all productsSkill in required packaging techniques for all products inventoriedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION:High School Graduate or GEDOne year of college may be substituted for one year of required experienceMaximum substitution of three yearsEXPERIENCE:3+ yearsRelevant warehouse experienceWORKING CONDITIONSPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMSENVIRONMENT:
