The Waring House Restaurant & Inn, located at 395 County Road 1 in Picton, is seeking a friendly, easygoing individual to join its Front Desk team. At the front desk, you will be the first point of contact for all hotel visitors and will be responsible for creating a welcoming first impression.

Duties
Greet guests and welcome them to the property
Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties
Address guests' questions and concerns by actively listening and providing them with appropriate information, direction and a skilled demeanour
Book reservations for dining, accommodations, cookery school and special events.
Accept and sign delivery of letters, packages, etc. and distribute them either in the office or have them sent to their appropriate department.
Check, sort, and respond to emails in an informative, courteous and professional manner or forward them to the appropriate department.
Keep the reception area tidy and presentable with restocking of supplies, and light cleaning duties (including dusting and vacuuming)
Assist guests with minor room issues (TV troubleshooting, extra linens or amenities)

Qualifications:
Experience as a front desk representative or agent in a relevant position




Familiarity with the use of office equipment (e.g. fax, printer, etc.)
Thorough knowledge of customer service
Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
Strong communication and people skills
Strong at multitasking and organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills
The Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment is a requirement
Must be available to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Previous experience in the hotel industry is an asset, but not a requirement
